Flourish Wellness Centre

Flourish Wellness Center is a community wellness space that is designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being of graduate and post secondary students and adults. The space incorporates biophilic design, natural material selections, and community engagement to create a space of personal healing and support. Physical health is emphasized by the inclusion of a yoga and fitness studio, while in-person mental health support is offered in private, relaxing consulting rooms.

The design includes a flexibly furnished classroom which will house workshops and support groups on mental health, and provide coping strategies and wellness awareness, promoting community connection and socialization. Snoezelen rooms are included to provide an immersive virtual environment that is used for relaxation through sound and visual simulations of nature. The incorporation of canopy, can be located at the front of the secondary entrance where it will be used as wayfinding to guide the guests through different sections of the space such as the community collaboration spaces, showcasing the importance of these spaces and ensuring guests can easily locate their way into workshops and communal experiences. Overall, the design aims to support guests through nature and biophilia allowing for an improved human well-being.
